Ironically, I probably won't be eating it, even though I don't eat meat now. I've not eaten it for so long that it makes me feel physically sick, even if I know it's not real. If it's too realistic, I can't eat it. Whether I could overcome that in time, I don't know.
If you're remaining healthy while not eating meat I think eating synthetic meat would be like smoking those vapourisers after you've just given up smoking. There wouldn't be much point.
And if you can't eat meat because of squeamishness I doubt it will be better if you're eating this weird lump of meat grown without a brain in a lab.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

It was also grown without naughty bits, 4 stomachs full of cud residue, shit stained hooves, and disgusting mucus dripping from mouth and nostrils.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

My main concern would be what kind of chemicals would be required to grow synthetic meat. Farmed meat can contain all kind of growth hormones and pesticides from the cattle feed. I like to buy organic food where possible to minimise risk.

Lab cultured meat could not, by definition, be organic. It goes against everything regarding the organic standards we've decided upon. For better or for worse.

Um,
assuming billions of identical cloned copies of a specific cow muscle cell, how is it less 'organic' than the cow it came from ?
(and note, the USDA has not legally defined the term 'organic' yet, so Dr. Vorlon's 100% pure radium infused desiccated soda crackers could be marketed as 'organic')
but we know what you meant . . .

And the assumption that it wouldn't be raised using antibiotics is fatuous. Bacteria attack all living tissue, without worrying about whether it's on the hoof or in a petri dish.

In regards to 'petri dish' meat, while it is being 'grown' (or gestated, or composed or sourced or whatever they are going to call it) it has to consume something, presumably a nutrient broth of sorts,
-so-
why don't we drop a bullion cube in that stuff and eat/drink it and save a step ??

They have legally defined what is or is not organic. They can't keep people from using the word organic, ofc....that would be ridiculous, but they can and -do- keep people from using their legal classification.
I can't get organic certification, for example...because I grow without soil and use highly processed fertility......despite the fact that my "soil" is ground up coconut husk, my fertilizers are processed versions of organically certified fertilizers, I use organically certified pesticides, certified seed, and no antibiotics. All of it, every jot and tittle, is absurd. Chinese factory farms meet the cert and I don't, lol. If I tried to claim that my stuff was certified there would be legal consequences. If I tried to use the certified products my production system would fail. Chasing the cert costs an obscene amount of money and I;ve watched people go belly up while I was trying to get them there. It's a major hurdle I have to overcome with every new member to the csa side. For folks looking for my type of produce "are you certified" is the first thing out of their mouths, our relationship starts with disappointment and only sours from there.
The "nutrient broth" would not be certifiable on account of processing. Your crackers couldn;t be certified not on account of there being radium in them, but on account of the process it takes to get ahold of radium...interestingly. If there were little chunks of rock -containing- radium in it, and the flour was certified.......you could have the product certified.
