So yeah i will allow spoilers but yeah the whole gist of it their time machine also goes back in time and forward.
When they go back they make clones. Also they were jumping around in time so much that they caused different outcomes
and different branches of timelines. With that happening you have the clones making more machines opening up more time lines
and you have the third guy who shows up Granger all because of Abe 1.

The time machines don't create clones, and they don't allow you to go "forward" in time. Rather, they allow a traveler to travel from a point in the present back to the point when the machine was turned on, and then back to the present. You can't use the time machine to travel further into the future than you were when you got into the machine.
As for the clones, that's not what happened, it's just that because you get in the time machine in the present and get out in the past, for the hours in-between there exist two versions of you, until one version gets in the time machine.

I think that the production value, in a rare case, added to the quality of the movie.
Here's the thing;
The quality of the movie, as in resolution, looked shit realistically speaking. It was very very unconventional, watching the movie, which is a good thing. It was a good thing because it forced you to actually think to understand the movie, it wasn't right in your face like most hollywood productions. You actually had to decipher as it progressed, at times I even had to pause it so I could look the scenario over better and realize what was happening.
Any movie that gets people to think for themselves is a plus in my books. Besides, the concept was awesome, and I think that's the thing to take away.
I guarantee some critics have reviewed it and been like "It looks like shit, i can't tell what's going on, sloppily put together." but they're missing the point.
There's plenty of movie's that are unintentionally confusing, and terrible because of it. However, oddly in this rare case, 'confusing' is what it has going for it, and it does not deter from the movie but ends up adding to it.
By the way, refer back to this post as a suggestion. The director is Shane Carruth(if my memory serves me correct), and he also made another movie called upstream color which is way better production value and is rich with underlying and deeper meanings.
Continue discussing this movie though.

However, I would be curious and implore you to theorize what would happen if during the time there are two versions of you, one version prevented the other from entering the time machine. It works like this, if you travel back in time, your 2nd version will do the exact same actions as you did, so you got in the time machine, when that time line reaches the time you got in the machine your 2nd version will get in the machine as well.
At least I think. I haven't watched the movie in years but I remember it quite well.

I've seen Upstream Color as well and I hope we eventually watch that too, but we don't necessarily have to watch it right after this one - at least that's what I think. Anyway, Carruth has proven himself to be a genius filmmaker and I look forward to anything else he'll make in the future.
Heat, but you'll be watching it again soon, right? Otherwise, it kind of undermines the whole point of this thing if we're merely going to talk about movies we've watched a lot of time ago. I haven't watched it again myself yet, but I think I'll do so later today.
