It is technically illegal to pay any protected group less for the same job done. Obviously the US Congress has outlawed unfairness, get with the program.

I guess I can't expect you to infer what I mean. Let me try this again, more clearly. I have been under the impression that a wage gap still exists in this country based on media tidbits I've happened to catch over the years, but I am NOT well informed on the issue. Do you have any hard data to contribute to the question? Those media fidbits were lies to sky rocket their views. And again...not demanding you prove anything. Only asking you to share data that you have come across in your research.

But, meh. Not really interested in disproving a claim which wasn't even proved in the first place.(Although I have done it numerous times before,I'm kind of getting sick of the process of releasing people of their false beliefs,it surprisingly is not my job. ) RE: "Men are all pigs"

This is the thing pool. If you want to actually discuss whether or not women have anything left to fight for in terms of equal rights (I am assuming you even want to discuss this. If not, then we might as well just take our balls and go home) then we have to actually discuss the specifics.
"Women have equal rights already!" "No they don't!" ...is not a debate. If you would really like to talk about this then we, as a group, have to: 1. Establish an agreed consensus of which rights we are even talking about 2. Present data from both sides 3. Examine the data to see what the evidence demonstrates If you aren't interested in that level of detail, then I can only assume you aren't interested in a sincere discussion. Maybe you are just trying to rile people up, or maybe you are hoping someone will come along and agree with you, like scooby, so you can feel validated. I literally have no idea what your intentions are here.

In that it was not an ad hominem because I wasn't using your personality to attack your position. Lol, I also never said a word about you, PERSONALLY, preferring a submissive girlfriend, which I didn't even know until you said it just now. Nice try though. I was asking you to clarify your contradictory opinions, which you have yet to do. I'll wait.

As you'll notice, if you look back in the thread , I've provided numerous sources for my claims. Your side, the majority side has yet to provide a single piece of evidence. Feminism is a "fight" for equal rights for women. Meaning, they claim women are denied equal rights, meaning they are making a claim, meaning they have the burden of proof. As far as I'm concerned, I'm aware of the existence of laws that disallow people to be discriminated based on their gender. |
