I'm not going to be holding up so well at age 2000 . . .
That is a real nice looking coin, hope it's real.
Wonder what you could get for it at Gold & Silver Pawn ??

I'm sure the IAA cleaned it up for the press conference. One thing they understand is "presentation."

Nice of them to do the right thing, in understanding the value is the history. Having said that unfortunately both Christians and Jews will use this find as evidence for proof that their religions are true, instead of understanding the REAL value isn't defending mythology, but the archaeological value in the aspect of all of human history.
I would never take something that old if I suspected or knew the age and historical value.

The hiker did exactly what Israeli law requires: She called in the IAA.
I don't see where a coin, minted by Trajan and honoring Augustus does much to help jesus freaks or jews. The Roman Empire is not in doubt.

This is too specific for that. They prefer a rock with a stain on it that they can claim is something that "moses" pissed on.
Then they hit you with typical religitard logic: "PROVE IT ISN'T!!!!"

This is an amazing find, more so that it was found by a hiker on the surface.
Wonder if it will lead to a dig in the vicinity to see what else may be around.
