I'm reasonably certain that Ace is perfectly aware of what he does and does not believe in, more than you do. I'm certain you think he does, but "I don't want to explain it, but you most certainly do" or "I can't explain it, but you most certainly do" aren't actuctually explainations of any kind that say anything.

Just as with your beliefs in god, you've decided something is the way you said it is. Period.
Regardless of how much damning logic or evidence is mounted against it.

If it's so bloody obvious then why can't you explain it?
What beliefs do you think I have? Why can't you explain it? Can't you list anything?
What's stopping you?

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

No dice. It's not that I can't, it's that I don't want to. Please do not ask for clarification as refusal may offend.

I'm not buying it. It's not that you won't, you can't!

Quote:Man has been around an estimated 150,000 years The earliest known theism is only some 10,000 years old.

True enough, but I think possibly a bit misleading. My understanding is that shamanistic animism has been around for tens of thousands of years. That suggests people have been giving 'spiritual' explanations to confounding natural things and events for a very long time.Eg Australian aboriginal creation myths may be up to 50,000 years old.

Although Homo sapiens may have only been around for about 150 thousand years, sentient human beings may have been around for at least a million years. Homo erectus (up to1.8 million years) was using tools and fire

What I disagree with is that man has been around for 150,000 years. Man has been around for millions of years.

Human beings are about 200,000 years old as a species (homo sapiens). Other Homo species have been around much longer, but they're currently extinct.
So.... no. We haven't been around for millions of years. Just about two hundred thousand.
