The little orange guy is actually a knitted flame with eyes It featured on adverts for a gas company I think, and I thought it was really cute, so my friend made one for me to cuddle! I can show you him properly in another vid if you like.

Oh, Rob! I'm SO sorry to hear about your illness. How awful! [emoji45]. Are there treatments for chronic fatigue syndrome? I've heard of it, but I don't know much about it. You are such a doll; it's so unfair that you have to had suffered for so long...I really enjoyed this sharing video. I would love it if more of us did videos like these so that we could get to know each other even better. It just brings such a personal touch to the relationship. I wish that we all lived on the same block so that we could drop by your house and cheer you up during the day! (And figure out once and for all if your "wife" is real [emoji13])

Btw....I think that I remember reading somewhere that debating with theists is a common cause of CFS...maybe that has something to do with it. [emoji848][emoji57]

I appreciate your kind words. Sadly, there is no treatment yet for CFS. Just management strategies so it doesn't get worse, which is mainly pacing yourself. I volunteered on a helpline for a while to help others with the same condition. There isn't even a proper way to diagnose it, it's done by elimination, so it may be hundreds of different similar conditions. I live in hope a breakthrough will occur soon; lots of research is being done. Sometimes, it goes away on its own, but I do have my suspicions about whether it was really CFS in the first place and not simply stress related tiredness.

There are several con treatments out there such as Mickel Therapy and the Lightning Process. They are unscientific, and it sickens me they are legal. They make all kinds of ridiculous claims, and charge extortionate amounts of money for basically nothing. Just some standard CBT / NLP therapy with nobs on. If that "cures" you, you didn't fucking have CFS.

I would love it if more people did videos about themselves! I would enjoy learning more about my wonderful friends

My wife is always ribbing me about the forum. "Do they think you're a real person?" she says! She is real, of course. You can't prove she isn't.

I feel like I live a kind of double life. On the forum, I'm in my element, I feel like I have valuable input to make, and I can help people. I know some stuff about the topics that come up. Off the forum, I'm a shambles, a doddery liability. I do my best, but living with me is very hard for my wife. I just can't afford to engage my mental faculties all the time, so I'm kind of in "duhhhh" mode a lot. Poor Emma
