At some point "yes" needs to be regulated.

In retrospection, it is a form of high respect to be called sir or ma'am.
I honestly only use the ma'am reference toward young girls I can't stand. Men are not as complicated as women. I have had no problems with male customers at work. The problems are with the women. And I'm gay, so that states something significant.

That means listening to them and explaining why their desires aren't attainable -- most importantly listening -- because that's what they really want, to be heard.
