"I don't trust the Bible", you say, but you also say "I trust a very small part of the bible". Hypocrite much? Yes, you are a hypocrite.

Now can you answer my questions?

Quote:I blame the bible and the people who wrote it,

But without them no one would know about your god. They were his self-appointed press agents.

It does seem to be a bit of a dilemma for you.

Yes but what they wrote is a misrepresentation. Anyone could write anything about god,but it doesn't mean it would be true.

The same goes for everything you have written on these forums...

Then how do you know what you think to be true is really true? What you've read about Jesus was written by the same men that wrote about the vengeful, hateful god that you dislike so much.

Special pleading, special pleading, special pleading!

Then herein lies the dilemma many people have. Why would you put yourself through such emotional turmoil for something you don't believe to be true? Surely your time and effort spent on this could be used in so many other ways that would, to me, seem worthy of a heavenly destination - if there were one, of course. Go out and volunteer, help people, help children, fight for a good cause, but leave religion out of it!

What trauma? Anyway I do believe some of the bible. How do you know that I don't do the things you say, like helping people? I don't know if you do them but if I wanted to know I would ask you.

Who died and made you king? All you have is the Big Book of Fairy Tales. For you to assert that what they wrote is a "misrepresentation" ignores the fact that there is nothing else to go by.

Without that one silly book - you have no religion. Period.

P.S. - I agree its a load of shit but its all you've got and its portrayal of your god is what you are stuck with.
