When you free range chicken and children you do not know where or how they will end up. When you train a child to be a man or woman. You will always know how they will turn out. To you there are only variables when you look at a child's future. When I look I too see variables, but I also know who he will be in those variables/situations.

So again, I don't care what details of the life my child chooses even if he turns out gay. Because I know and will have comfort in knowing who that man will be no matter his life's circumstances.

I can live with that no matter what happens or doesn't happen.

I used to pose this question what seemed like a lot, but I never got what seemed like an honest answer and, tenacious as I can be, I wouldn't usually push much further because it seemed a futile effort. I really am curious about this, though. I really hope you'll answer honestly.

Here in this part of the web site it's to share a news story/current event and spark a conversation about the merrits of "training" a child verse just beating them, or letting them grow like an untamed weed.

Because if you watch the video the mom says the boy is rarely if ever disciplined. (The mom never hit him and the dad may take his hat and dust his bottom with it from time to time.)

the boys reaction tells the story, his goto response was to call out to his mother to protect him from these consequences. hence he did not fear any reaction from her. If I ever had to be beat at school I would fear going home because whatever the school did I faced far worse. Especially if it were running around like a little monster into traffic and then kick and spit on the person who saved me from being ran over.
