Hit a child, and it's called discipline. Hit an adult, and it's called assault. I think that's the main reason they pick the rear end to hit as well, because you get a different reaction when you hit a kid in a place where the public can see it.

Several comments.   First, I was spanked twice as a child.  Both times were immediate and a reprisal for nth time time I did the same small irritating thing in a row. Neither did more than sting. Both taught me about trying people's patience.   Neither suggested spanking was a good means of child raising.

I watched a teacher spank a second grader in the same immediate way.  My sympathy then and now was with the teacher.

But spanking as a regular,  let alone formal form of punishment is in effective at best, and abusive at worst.

What your video shows is abusive and counter productive.  The spanners are ineffective. They can't even seem go get the job done.  The spanking is obviously long after the crime (useless for a child that age). Arbitrary adult abuse is probably the message received.

I noticed that we aren't told what the boy did. I suspect that there is a reason for that.

But my big question is, you find it heart warming? What kind of sadist are you?

Actually yes. why? because again this little boy now understand their will be consenquences to his actions. Too many grow up with out ever truly hearing a solid no, then meeting with disipline when they proceed past the no.

I'm not a violent person, I don't believe violence is the answer to solve any problem. But honestly, I might accidentally beat someone to death if they tried to do that to my child. Fucking disgusting

Five year olds have fucking goldfish like memories! This punishment was carried out (reportedly) days after the incident! That kid more than likely has no idea what these sickos are beating him for!

Well yeah, the whole serial killer thing was definitely an exaggeration but you get what I mean. Hitting your child will obviously have some effect on them.

It's a tough situation.  When I went to school I don't recall ever being in any classes with disruptive students.  However, the VP at my junior high school did have the authority to use a wooden paddle on the behinds of disruptive students.  

In today's schools  the teachers simply call the cop and the cop beats the crap out of the disruptive student.  In the end the bad student ends up in more trouble than if would have under the old system of getting a whack or two on his butt.

When I went to school the classes were all well behaved and quiet where the teacher was the only one talking. If and when someone was out of control the teacher called the principle on the innercom and he came with a really big wooden paddle and took the offender outside. Then everyone could hear the SMACK... SMACK... SMACK... and a minute or two later the kid would come back in redfaced and crying. Or better yet the teacher would be going on, and out of the blue we hear a muffled Smack... Smack... Smack.. and she would pause till it was over, which woke everyone back up. You could always tell when it was the principle "Mr. Maple" who paddled or the assistent principle "Mrs. Penzol" Maple would get a yelp after each one and you'd always hear crying afterwords and mrs penzol would just make you cry.

Then in high school it was a free for all. (no paddling) teachers had to yell over other unrully kids or they just gave up completely.
