Vaccinations (as recommended by the CDC) should be mandatory. The only opt out is for documented medical reasons.

Alternative medicine/healthcare should not be covered by private or state funded insurance. This includes chiropractors.

Legal/regulated assisted death should be allowed in all states. This does not necessarily mean physician assisted.

Death penalty by lethal injection should be done away with.

Here's something controversial. Why is it that all opposition to vaccinations, and those that even bring up any kind of link between vaccinations and autism, is smacked down. Ignore the obvious (because they're wrong). Seriously, I've never actually seen a rational discussion about it. Anyone who even vaguely enquires about it is shut down as though they're an idiot for asking. Anyone who questions it is immediately branded a close-minded idiot.

Just recently Robert De Niro was slated because he said people should watch some film about vaccinations and autism (don't know what it was exactly, but he took some stick for it). Surely it is better to have an open debate about it?

On the face of it, it's like there's some kind of agenda trying to stop any information at all that shows a link between autism and vaccinations from even being addressed in the first place, let alone dismissed. I constantly see people say science and research shows no link, but any paper or evidence brought to the table otherwise just gets instantly dismissed as though it's hocus pocus rubbish. Maybe it is, but I never see this broken down and actually talked about.

Saying all that, I've never really looked into the issue that deeply. I'm sure I'm just ignorant of the facts.

1. The Age of Consent should be reduced to 15 (except if the older person is in a position of power). There appears to be a correlation between lower ages of consent and lower rates of teen pregnancy in first world countries.

2. Prostitution should be legalized, taxed, and regulated.

3. Polygamy should be legal, but only if all parties are aware and consent.

4. Marijuana, Ecstasy and Cocaine should all be legal for adults that are 18 years or older

5. Welfare should be denied to anyone who doesn't have a high school education, equivalent, or is seeking to obtain the equivalent (I.E. Enrolled in classes to get your G.E.D. or have taken the test to get your GED within the past 6 months). Exceptions also made for people with disabilities.

All properly done and documented medical studies show there is no validation to any links between vaccinations and autism.

There has been a rise in reported autism cases, but that has much to do with many mental illnesses being reclassified as autism.

So none of these are properly done and documented?

Just playing devil's advocate. I see a lot of people say "there are no studies", but then when some are presented they're instantly dismissed.

And yes, it says "Source Facebook" at the bottom, like the one idiot commenter points out. I think he misses the point that any of these journal articles can be googled, and it's exactly the kind of "hurr this is stupid" I'm talking about.

People who disagree with my views are not evil, sadistic fuckheads because they disagree with me. There may well be a whole raft of reasons why they ARE evil sadistic fuckheads, but difference of opinion isn't one of them.

Let me read through and I'll give my opinion.

And yes, we all have our strongly held opinions on certain matters.  I happen to have strong opinions that vaccinations should be mandatory.

.....ok I don't really truly believe that but there is a tiny part of me that thinks about it sometimes.

And you think that rapists are not monsters . . . ?  -- Not trying to pick a fight with you, Losty, but rapists are my "worst monsters in the universe".  The folks who beat children and animals (and women!) are a distant second in my book.  And yeah, I have days when I completely agree with the above statement.  (Mass murderers who would probably go into evil #3 - - I guess that relegates preachers to evil #4 - -  Rolleyes )

I have been known to assert to a therapy group that all rapists should die by crucifixion.  Publicly televised crucifixion.  And their penises should be cut off and shoved WAY up their asses.  After the nailing.  Then the therapist had the nerve to say that if I de-humanized rapists to the point that I advocate death by slow torture, I was as bad as they are.  The nerve!!!    Angry

I'm not, am I?  It's just a fantasy, right?     Sad

So yeah, I can profess to be a tame little pacifist who is against the death penalty - - but I have my controversial bloodthirsty moments.

I know I'm male but in my opinion anything but incarcerating criminals of any sort is going too far. No matter the crime, emotions should be left out of it. We imprison criminals because they are a threat to society, but punishing them for their crimes is entirely irrational.
