I'm sick of my country

RE: I'm sick of my country
In the meantime, one country further north, we are hoping for the AfD to self-destruct before the general election next year...
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

They won't overtake the CDU. And the CDU is at least ten times more democratic and humane than the ÖVP.

Okay, what's your alternative to democracy then?
The hitch hikers guide had a man running the universe who was just a nice man answering questions, he didn't know he was in charge and didn't want to be. Its the people who want to run things who should be kept away from power.

I'm sorry for Austria's troubles, but serves you right for exporting Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Well, the world is a big and beautiful place and you would probably benefit from a little travel and perspective.

Maybe, but I meant Abaris.

Most people who don't travel lack perspective about what most of the world is actually like. The phrase 'first world problems' is pretty relevant when people bitch about being part of the extremely lucky few who are born into a first world country. I also think it's silly bitch and complain because the people you agree with politically aren't always the ones in power. As though a one party system is really what is best.

Oh, I see. But mightn't it be a better idea to find out first how well travelled abaris is?

Ah, yes. Thanks for the assumption. Care to back that up by anything or should I take it as what it is? A product from between the butt cheeks maybe?

That, to clarify matters, isn't a simple rightwing populist, that's a german nationalist with a past of being apologetic towards the Hitler regime. Now, the president isn't a very powerful office in Austria, but with the very real chance of a far right/right coalition after the next general elections, checks and balances are out of the window, with the possibility of changes to the constitution. In short, we're going down the Hungarian or Polish shitter next.
