To summarize: Europeans shouldn't worry when far rightwingers take over their government because North Koreans have it much worse. What an inane argument.
But the beautiful thing is, it is very versatile and adaptable. "We have murderers roaming the streets!" Psh, stop whining with your central african luxury problems. We over here have *rapist torturers*!
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Seems the Serbs are smarter than us. Their resident nationalist asshole didn't even come near power.

It inflicts defeat and through defeat incocate a sense of perspective for a generation or so. Although even war had to work very hard and then had to swallow its pride and request a second chance before it succeeded with the Germans. That, to clarify matters, isn't a simple rightwing populist, that's a german nationalist with a past of being apologetic towards the Hitler regime. Now, the president isn't a very powerful office in Austria, but with the very real chance of a far right/right coalition after the next general elections, checks and balances are out of the window, with the possibility of changes to the constitution. In short, we're going down the Hungarian or Polish shitter next. No way! I thought America was the insane country, please tell me my friends down under aren't as bat shit nuts?
You're sick of your country? You're not alone in this.
And there is still a chance that this guy won't win. In Poland idiot and puppet already rule and his one real contender wasn't much better.
The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Nah, no crazier than always. Melbourne just voted sporting capital of the world for the 6th time running... We don't involve our pretty heads with all that technical political stuff! Watching my team annihilate the Bombers at the G! What's not to love!
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
So can we expect Austria to invade Germany soon?
I'd start off with Lichtenstein first, then Switzerland. Those two countries will give you lots of money so you could just stop here and no one would probably fight back. I wouldn't do France because that's getting a bit close to the warmongering United Kingdom. If you want to expand further then best to then move into Italy and the rest of the EU will be secretly glad that you're removing a lot of the debt problems and stemming the flow of immigrants while publicly condemning you. Getting Greece at this point will be difficult because you'd have to invade by sea. And if you want to reach them by land you'd have to do Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia and they're a bit more practised at genocide and fighting. You also don't want to go too far east because you might turn a potential ally (Putin) into an enemy. But you could team up with them and Hungary to form an axis. Nothing like a common enemy to bring people together. Anyway good luck with your expansionism and remember to have good looking uniforms, it always helps to create the right impression. |
