ZING!

I will play the person you believe I am, a "dumb redneck christian" and I will ask you things so you can answer them to me with evidence, of course. First question:

If God did not create the earth, how is it that we have an earth here and we live in it? Also, I beg, provide evidence for your claims.

We have an earth because the initial conditions of the universe were set so that eventually the earth would occur. I think you and I can agree on that, right?

But who/what set those conditions? We don't know at this point. It does, however, seem like there is evidence pointing to a multiverse. So perhaps this universe is just one of many (maybe infinite universes), and randomly assigned initial conditions for this particular universe just happened to be the right ones for earth to eventually appear.

Now do we have good evidence for the source of these randomly assigned universes? No, but God-believers aren't in any better position.

Perhaps he has you on ignore for some reason. It must be frustrating, and I wish he would explain himself. At this point it seems trollish to keep ignoring you.

He doesn't. It's against the rules to have me on ignore.

Well he is used to "real" referring to things he just makes up.  It is understandable why he would be confused.

Onto a more pressing matter.  I've noticed that your turtliness have taken to signing each post with a single name, much like Boru does.  I find the practice charming and hereby suggest we all begin doing so.  To avoid conflicts assuming we each want a unique name, I suggest we start a thread whose only purpose is to register your Boru-esque sig.  I shall post haste see to it.

I think that's a stupid idea.

A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

I'm an atheist and I claim that 2+2=4.

There ya go, this post is clear evidence of an "atheist claim".

How about an atheistic claim?

I claim that my belief in God is nonexistent.

There ya go Big Grin

It is trivially easy to point out evidence for atheist beliefs (e.g., the evidential argument from evil). I am astonished that you have never encountered such an argument from an atheist before.

There're plenty of arguments against God's existence, and yet none of them are even necessary.
