You are invariably rude (even I turn it off sometimes, geez, asshole), your assertions are invariably unsupported and absurd, you abuse the shit out of the emoticons, and the worst part is that you've started leaking out of that awful thread you created (since it finally died after multiplying, mutating, and congealing back together).
You are now routinely derailing threads on this board with posts exactly like the eyesore quoted above.
Again, sir, go fuck yourself. You are wasting everyone's time and taking up space on the board.
Son.
Would you like a list of atheists unsupported assertions?
1) The consciousness is a product of the brain.
It has been supported, multiple times. You just ignore such support and claim that it hasn't. That makes you a liar.
(May 9, 2016 at 4:11 am)Little Rik Wrote: 2) When you die is all over.
This follows from the notion that consciousness is a product of the brain and is therefore supported.
(May 9, 2016 at 4:11 am)Little Rik Wrote: 3) We got the consciousness that we got thanks to previous generations (evolution of the species sort of).
This follows from evolution and consciousness being a product of the brain, and evolution is well supported. So again you are wrong.
(May 9, 2016 at 4:11 am)Little Rik Wrote: 4) Progress exist in this physical reality.
This is your own bugaboo, however there is plenty of evidence that people are living longer and healthier lives. Your problem here is that you won't accept anything less than the promises of your beliefs as being real progress. That's a semantic argument, not a real point.
(May 9, 2016 at 4:11 am)Little Rik Wrote: 5) If there is God he is a bastard that doesn't care about suffering people.
The argument from evil is well supported by any casual examination of the world. Again, you simply discount that which contradicts your dogmatic beliefs.
(May 9, 2016 at 4:11 am)Little Rik Wrote: Eh, clown, this is only a short list of atheists dogmas.
Given that all these can and have been supported, your claim that they haven't been is just another of your dogmatic beliefs. It's a crass lie and you're a complete asshole for repeatedly making such assertions. You're spirituality doesn't give you license to shade the truth, and that you do so with such shameless smugness tells a great deal about what kind of 'progress' is to be made practicing your spirituality. It is a regress in which you no longer care about the truth if it conflicts with your dogma, and it is a sad and pathetic result.

The best part are the anti-science crowd, to whom you can provide mountains of actual evidence, to whom you can demonstrate that their ad-hoc explanations of the physical impossibility of many of the Bible's claims hold no water (lately, we've been discussing Noah's Flood), and you will still have them wave it off as if you had said nothing, let alone demonstrated unequivocally that their propositions were not only false but impossible. Because magic!
And as always, there's the never ending confusion on their part about the difference between being an atheist ("I do not believe your religious claims") and a nihilist ("Vee beleef in nossssing, Lebowsky!")... or they think that acceptance of the scientific method of testing ideas means atheism. And so on. It gets exhausting, pretty quickly, trying to debunk so much bullshit on an endless cycle, even with the same people.
There's a TED talk by James Flynn on why our IQ's today are higher than recent generations, and I think it explains a lot about religious people too. They just haven't acquired the conceptual tools they need for things like logically consistent thinking. What sucks is that religion is enabling them to actively resist becoming intellectually mature enough to see how irrational religion is.
So we've got this reason-resistant strain of human culture, composed of ignorant lay people, scholars who ought to know better but succumb to social pressure to identify as religious, and scholars who are just plain nuts.

You might want to look up the word 'dogma'. Nothing on your list qualifies.

I'm sorry, I don't find your superstitions any more interesting than those held by Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Muslims, etc.
Maybe even less.

"Reason-resistant strain". While that's effing hilarious, I flinched just thinking of the reactions I'd get from most people, if I used bacteriological terms to describe the Christian fundamentalists.
I suppose if the petri dish fits...
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

I will play the person you believe I am, a "dumb redneck christian" and I will ask you things so you can answer them to me with evidence, of course. First question:
If God did not create the earth, how is it that we have an earth here and we live in it? Also, I beg, provide evidence for your claims.
When your dumb redneck Christian beliefs can actually be supported by evidence, then you can turn the table on me.
Until then, fuck you for being ignorant.
And it is not actually "turning the table" on me, because one who reasons properly understands that until sufficient evidence is provided for the existence of something, it is absurd to believe in it just because.
The lack of god's existence leading to atheism is not the lack of anything except gullibility.
