As a reference to the culture of a few thousand years ago, and the local ethnocentric god that they worshiped, yes. The bible has value. As some source of morality, or inspired truth, not really. At best it was slightly ahead of its time, but now it's pretty outdated.

Which version?? In just a few moments of looking around I have found HUNDREDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was expecting 'quite a few', but finding hundreds that quickly makes me think I have just scratched the surface.
Clearly, abominations like the NIV will condemn anyone to hell from just touching one, let alone actually reading it, but what are we to make of all the others ??

The Bible itself says that it's just a collection of stories meant to entertain. It also says that people shouldn't believe in Jewish fairy tales.
