It's curious how some people start in a position of disbelief (or simply apathy towards belief) go through a rough patch and come out believers (cue in to Drich), while others start in a position of belief, go through a rough patch and come out disbelievers...
It's almost like the actual existence of a god is independent from the paths led by people.... independent from the belief... independent from reality...

Anyway, time to give you something sweet!
We call these "queques"... you may know them as muffins

Well it seems you and I have a lot in common. I have also grown up in the south although the football teams were Texas A&M vs University of Texas. You wear maroon or you wear burnt orange, there is no middle ground and they are vicious toward each other. The only thing bigger than Aggies vs Longhorns are the high school teams. Heaven forbid your local high school suck... Anywho aside from the religious and football obsessions you and I were brought up around we also both went to our own hell and back to find atheism at the end of the road. My hell was very different but I ended up not caring if I died either. I'm glad you pulled through and that you seem happier. I don't know about you but getting rid of the religious stronghold made my chest lighter. I look forward to discussions with someone so close in experience with me.
