Clear a couple of things up for me....should it be a problem if I was irrational..if reason is inadequate? What mysteries in life?
0/10 on the "you're just like the christians" bit. Heard it to often to give a shit on these boards.

How many different ways are you going to come up with to say nothing?

The ones you're so desperately seeking rational answers for.

There are a myriad of was to say nothing. In the spirit of the koan...I offer you something by way of nothing.
That should give you a brain cramp to work out.

The ones you're so desperately seeking rational answers for. Which are........?

Except that it doesn't. You're really bad at koans, man. Perhaps you should stick to the traditional ones?

As opposed to "woo"?
I suppose it is more efficient.

Late to the party again. My sig sums it up nicely, cutting through any Descartesian uncertainty:
Sum ergo sum, I am therefore I am. The facts of my existence are the evidence and explanation of my existence. My identity and 'conscious', self-referential faculties are emergent properties of my physical existence, the qualia of my brain functions.
All robust evidence demonstrates this and though the experrts don't have a full picture of how 'I' arise from my brain (far from it!), I clearly do because I'm here and there are no other mechanisms working that could produce such an effect.
Sum ergo sum

Though Descartes has been historically, thoroughly questioned that's not what's being question here.

Universal. Gee, thanks for elaborating. What a wonderful subject for debate and introspection...that you've laid out so clearly. No, no, wait, you've simply made a liar of yourself - again.

I do say so, now if only -you'd- say something. Is this the wisdom of the buddha? Weaseling evasion? How many hours of "meditation" does it take to reach the state you're in?

Liar? I fail to follow that sublime logic.

'self' is the collective summation of all your memories, experiences and all of the factors creating and effecting them including physical attributes.
If so, then how does A disappear?
It's your hypothetical -- why are you asking anyone else to flesh it out?
Lazy thinker spotted.
