Good ideas from the other side.
May 28, 2016 at 11:43 am
Most people if not everyone on here seem to be against certain people or groups, for example Donald Trump and the republican party.
But are there positions which these groups or individuals take on certain ideas that you agree with even though you're against the majority of the things they stand for?
I just used Donald Trump and the Republican party as an obvious one for most people on here.
I think mostly the actions of the black lives matter group are pointless when they're shouting in the faces of progressive white middleclass people but I appreciate how they draw attention to the problems the black community has involving high rates of domestic violence, rape, homophobia, and so on.
I'm also pretty liberal when it comes to my attitude about marijuana and other illegal drugs. And I'm for pro choice in relation to abortions. This isn't to say I class myself as a conservative anyway but I've realized relative to a lot of people on this forum I might be classed as being more conservative in my opinions possibly.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

I think Common Core is a bad system. Not all kids learn the same way. As a teacher if there's one thing I've learned, it's that the same method won't work for every student.
They used to also be against the expansion of Eminent Domain, but not so much any more.

I'd be hard pressed to think of a single idea of Drumpf's which not only couldn't be classified as good but which would be hard not to classify as wrong.
Maybe there are some other republicunts out there with an occasional good idea but they are drowned out by the assholes.

I'm in favor of universal health care. The only problem is that the government messes up everything they get their hands into.

So kind of your against hitlers jew killing and war mongering but on board with him improving train punctuality, kind of thing.
Ok then, I like the tories change to allow gay marriage and that is it, everything else they do is completely the opposite of what should be done.

I was actually thinking when I first conceived of making this thread that I know someone is going to talk about the nazis killing jews but the trains being on time.

I agree with what you've written here. I don't particularly like BLM for some of the tactics they've used, but if they're addressing the problems such as those in their community then good on them.
My attitude towards drugs is extremely liberal. Take whatever the hell you want, but it's your responsibility if you fuck up in some way.
And my views on abortion is that a woman has the right to choose.

I am split on the drugs thing, cause though people should have the freedom to do whatever the hell they want with their lives, but the problem is when drugs enter the picture normally responsibility goes out the window and most of the times they end up creating problems for themselves and others.
As for partially agreeing with, say Trump, I agree with his... ermm... nope, I got nothin!

I agree with the Republicans that we need better border control.

Not even stricter border control?
