Of course riding a bike is dangerous. But it's fun. I mean you like riding, right? At least if something bad does happen you'll die doing something you enjoy.

I bought a motorcycle before. From my boss. It was too big for me and and I only ever rode it once.
My sister bought a motorcycle, too. She eventually sold it to her roommate, because he was the only one who ever rode it.
I don't think anything is wrong with you. I just think you bought a motorcycle. Welcome to the club!

Do what a lot of my mates are doing these days...
(It's a midlife crysis thing again).
Use it a recreation only...
As others have said, join a club, Sunday rides, nice outings, social aspect, etc.
Of course, if you can't afford it for just that, then just sell. Your life is worth more than a few thousand dollars...
On a unrelated note, I read that China has tough laws on injuring somebody in a traffic accident.
If you injure somebody, it is your responsibility to pay their way, if they are incapacitated, for the rest of their lives.
Whereas, if they are killed, you pay a one off fine..
For this reason, it has been known for people to back up and reverse over the injured bike riders to make sure they are dead as it is a lot cheaper for them in the long run!
True story. I just wanted to share! ......

I'm not saying this against bikers or whatever but I think everyone I know who's ridden a bike or scooter moped has had some sort of fairly bad accident. With exception to maybe a couple of people.
One guy from my work died, another had his thumb almost ripped off and another had injured ribs.
Whenever someone tells me someone in their family or one of their friends was or is a biker the first question I ask is usually what accidents have they had? And from my experience the answer is usually at least a broken limb of some sort.
I've fractured limbs before and that's bad enough, I'd never risk riding a motorbike
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

That reminds me of the Dad who gave his infant son aids so that he wouldn't have to pay child support.
There are people on this earth who make me wish hell existed. Not a humane attitude, I admit. But dammit.

Gem, I think it is this lack of fairness and justice in the animal kingdom (including us), which drives people to religion.
They fantasize that due to God's mysterious ways, there will be an ultimate justice "in the end".
A noble notion but completely out of sync with reality.
Yes, life is unfair and sometimes it sucks the big one, but the sooner we acknowledge it as a society, the sooner we can modify our ever changing secular laws to compensate...
Pretending that some magic man will punish those that got away with it is not the answer in the short term or the long term.
It just leads to more woo like karma, etc.

FWIW, I bought an ATV in my mid/late 50s, and it's a total rush.
That a particular bauble has lost it's luster for you now, doesn't mean that avenue of pleasure is forever closed.
I'm suddenly thinking of frottage for some reason . . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
