I'm not saying one must believe in God to be moral; I'm merely saying that without God there can be no basis for objective morality. All that is possible apart from God would be subjective morality and nihilism.
"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
"Always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you" (1 Peter 3:15).

Not true. As a social species our morality evolved with us.

That doesn't make it objective. Why are we bound by evolutionary "morals?" That is still not objective morality. Sociobiological things are not objective in any way at all.
In regards to defining "God," I am working from an idea of the Christian God, which revealed Himself in the Resurrection, which has historical evidence. Then, you have the various arguments for the existence of God to lead you to the Resurrection (cosmological, teleological, moral arguments, etc. which ARE NOT fallacious in anyway, just not what some people like to hear).

That is the only part I agree with.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

I'm not saying one must believe in Ceiling Cat to enjoy a cheeseburger; I'm merely saying that without Ceiling Cat there can be no basis for cheeseburgers. All that is possible apart from Ceiling Cat would be dry buns and no cheese.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

All debunked. You can start a new thread if you want to see them debunked again.

Ok. Point me to the definition of the Christian god.
Quote:which revealed Himself in the Resurrection, which has historical evidence.
What historical evidence?
Quote:Then, you have the various arguments for the existence of God to lead you to the Resurrection (cosmological, teleological, moral arguments, etc. which ARE NOT fallacious in anyway, just not what some people like to hear).
Arguments aren't evidence. Please give me evidence.

Jesus fuck. With Light of Truth weighing in, which of the following best describes the situation:
1. Bullshit = Troll + Troll
or
2. Bullshit = Troll^2
There's also the chance that this is Troll^Troll, which I think means infinite bullshit.

Cosmological, teleological and moral arguments are like Jedi Mind Tricks, they only work on the weak minded. All of these have been refuted hundreds of years ago. Please try to catch up.
The most amusing part is where you claim the Christian God revealed himself in the Resurrection. So what your telling me is that the following weren't good enough:
- drown the entire fucking world except for one family
- speak through a burning bush
- suspend the sun so that the chosen can vanquish their enemy
- ensure that all is required to vanquish an enemy is parade around seven times and blow horns
- anoint a king despite god given warnings against the maneuver
- redundant plagues that even temporarily convince Pharaoh
- plenty more where this came from
All of this and Christians don't believe until the resurrection of Jesus. You dipshits might be more skeptical than I give you credit for. If the resurrection of Jesus is what convinces you, Christians must be on God's slow learner curriculum.
