Hell and God cant Co-exist.

RE: Hell and God cant Co-exist.
The idea of an all loving god is incompatible with hell. That much should be obvious to anyone with half a brain. We'll get the bullshit of "God doesn't send you to hell, you send yourself there!" Which is bullshit, because God created hell in the first place, and set up all the rules himself so they can fuck off with that shit.

I rarely do this but I think this video will help explain to those who are truly interested in more than their own preconceptions:

http://www.swedenborg.com/good-thing-hell/

There is also this quote:

Quote:... This too [punishment] seems to come from the Lord, but still no punishment there does come from the Lord. It comes from the evil itself, since an evil is so closely united to its punishment that they cannot be separated. The hellish mob craves and loves nothing more than inflicting harm, especially punishing and torturing, and they do inflict harm and punishment on anyone who is not being protected by the Lord. So when something evil is being done to an evil heart, since this rejects any protection by the Lord, evil spirits assail the evildoer and inflict punishment.—Heaven and Hell §550

It's funny when two (or more) believers can't agree on the same fantasy. Debating which fantasy is correct.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

This makes no sense, they cant co-exist, its one, or neither.
Christians cant sacrifice God's supposed Omnipresense or hell in order to have a somewhat consistent belief.

The supposed paradox is created by not understanding omnipresence. God is present everywhere in the sense that he knows what is happening and sustains his creation in being. That would apply to Hell as well.

If you then talk about the denizens of Hell being separated from God, that is simply in a personal/relational sense. In that sense, they do not have the experience of the presence of God.

Imagined problem solved.

With an imaginary solution...how droll.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

No experience of the existence of god? How then is hell any different, than what we have now? Do you mean - there will be no drugs in hell?

They say this is hell on Earth. We must already be there.

Ah, it could be worse.

Sometimes I find it humorous to watch christians pull stuff out of their a**es, with a smug expression, as if what they just said wasn't a bunch of made up nonsense. Tongue

Let me try to explain from my perspective. If you're actually interested in hearing it, and not just interested in criticizing us Christians for what you think we all believe in, regardless.

Personally my belief is that Hell isn't a physical place, it's a state of being. It's when a person has fully and consciously rejected God after they die, which at that point means they have rejected love and goodness, since they learn at that point that God IS love and goodness. This is a self punishment because we are creatures of love, made for love, and we need it to be happy. So when we are so filled with hate and pride and greed that we reject love and goodness, we are only making ourselves miserable and empty. That is Hell.

Hope that helps clear it up.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
