Are you kidding?
I bet the children of religious leaders in church have the most sex out of anyone.

Sex and religion has always been ill-rational enemies. You figure they make natural allies in order to help their own cause, but no! They use it has a fear tactic, countering the human minds own urges with invented self control, There was never a rational need for such believe systems, even as Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons we were able to figure out that sex is as important as food. Now, if you want to make a point that religious suppression of sex has helped mankind, you make the argument that in theory these actions were an attempt at a early form "Selected Breeding". This concept though as too many flaws to be considered useful. Maelstrom does make a good point though, they have found a way to use it for their own gain through out history.
In today's world, at least in my own experiences. Sexual relations is quite difficult to find, I'm not not best looking person, but I'm far from the worst looking person. The matter of my profession and my general cash flow limits me in this regard. This is the story for a lot of people in the world though, religious leaders may by wrong on many fronts, but they the kings and queens in the pussy determent.
I wonder if the rules in Islam regarding the need for women to cover up, not mingle with other men / non-believers, severe punishment for being raped etc are a kind of imposed sexual repression, born out of some Muslim men's deep sexual insecurity? It seems to me that religions are remarkably concerned about what people do when naked (to quote a certain Mr Harris).
Bring back the temple prostitutes!
Sex is bad mmmkay

Religion creates all sorts of repression. Religion was, after all, designed to repress anything that primitive minds of the time deemed evil.

They even created an Advert of an Anti-Masturbation ad. It was really stupid. The thing is...this is one of the things that made me leave the Mormon faith. I'm still in the process as I'm still living with family off and on and going to University which my tuition is being paid by my parents. So I'm kind of having to go through the motions. But holy shit, I do watch lots of Porn!!! It started when I was 13. I was actually just playing with myself down there while looking at pictures of Pamela Anderson and boom! You know what I was referring too (hehe) But I realized how that felt so good but once I figured out it was wrong I just felt miserable about myself. My Dad even walked in on me one morning when I was jerking off and he made me go to talk to my bishop about it. I went about 2 weeks without doing it then I got back to the habit. Now I'm 22, and I'm a healthy person and I probably do it at least once a night. I've learned a lot more self control though. The Bible says to marry and have plenty of sex with your spouse. It always amazes me to hear people who are jacking off to porn charging that the Christians are the ones who are sexually repressed.
I can't think of a religion that isn't prudish about sex to an extent. Yeah I think religions do repress sex.
