Hell isn't scary

RE: Hell isn't scary
If sin was really such an issue, god shouldn't have invented it.

Yeah. Pride is one of the greatest impediments to becoming a christian. It's true that you must overcome your pride in order to worship God and be able to accept his will over your own.

Usually when we see someone obsessing over any one thing too much, we try to get them away from it a bit. Because there is more to life than just one person, place, or thing.

It's not just pride, but rather agency.  And, again, in any other context such thinking would be considered unhealthy at best.

Pride as in believing somthing and wanting others to believe as well. By your own words you fail at being a christian then huh?

but with that it comes with a price of eternal worshiping god. Then also this place would be perfect that itself is terrible
were people we don't like perfect at all so to put it like so we would all be the same in some sort of hive mind of worshipers. I haven't even touched the worst part we don't get to do the things we do on earth in heaven like eat drink or even sleep and not to mention we will have no free will in heaven. Then what about.. the unborn and toddlers that would be the majority of heaven. Also in heaven you get a good view of people getting tortured in hell and since you have no free will you would be happy that is sadism on a epic level. So yeah a eternity of worship and singing songs watching people getting punished and being happy about it.. forever.. Hell it is much more of a pleasant place than heaven.

Yeah. I'll take suffering and torment over peace and happiness any day. Seriously, though, we will have bodies in heaven and so I would assume that we will eat and drink and do things that are related to the body. Where did you get your ideas about heaven from? Your idea of heaven sounds awful to me. Certainly not from the bible. Why do you think we'll have a view of hell from heaven?

As I've said before, when the curse is eternity, the initial conditions hardly matter.

Given all we know of the human condition, any eternal life would become unbearable.

God invented unbelief? Rolleyes

So what you're saying is that God made you an unbeliever, and the fact that you're a free moral agent had nothing to do with your choice to disbelieve?

No, I said god invented sin.  Unbelief is an example of sin, but isn't the entirety of sin, correct?  Sin would also include violating the commandments, and other things, such as premarital sex, engaging in homosexuality, etc.

What I'm saying is that if these actions are so heinous that he has to torture those that engage in them for eternity, maybe he shouldn't have made them options we could actually choose.  That doesn't mean removing free will, but rather limiting the choices available in his creation.  Shouldn't be hard for an almighty.

Keep in mind, Huggy, I don't actually believe in god. I find the notion of sin to be utterly ridiculous. I'm merely pointing out the sheer inefficiency and waste in this fictional being's purported design.
