The heavy day

Well . . . sort of.  There will come a time when the Earth will not see the sun.  This would be after the sun enters its "Red Giant" phase. The planets that are left after that phase has passed (and the Earth might not be included) will spiral outward away from the collapsing star.  Stars won't "fall", that's silly.

http://www.universetoday.com/12648/will-...red-giant/

"Approximately 1.1 billion years from now, the Sun will be 10% brighter than it is today. This increase in luminosity will also mean an increase in heat energy, one which the Earth’s atmosphere will absorb. This will trigger a runaway greenhouse effect that is similar to what turned Venus into the terrible hothouse it is today.

In 3.5 billion years, the Sun will be 40% brighter than it is right now, which will cause the oceans to boil, the ice caps to permanently melt, and all water vapor in the atmosphere to be lost to space. Under these conditions, life as we know it will be unable to survive anywhere on the surface, and planet Earth will be fully transformed into another hot, dry world, just like Venus."

The earth will not end in darkness, but in light and heat, as the sun expands into its "Red Giant" phase.  And yes, all life on earth will die, and after that, the seas will indeed boil off in flame.   Neither Allah or any other Deity (if they exist at all) or any advanced civilization will be able to sustain life on the earth under these conditions.  I really can't fathom why anyone would look to an old book of fables and tales about an imaginary friend instead of studying the real science of stars and solar systems.

By which time, I'm sure, Humans will have long since left the Earth, with an actual Noah's Ark, and moved life some place else. I like the idea of halos from the video game of the same name: The gravity is good, and they're large. We will have also discovered other dimensions and different universes by then too and I bet there are parallel realities, in tg higher dimensions, where people have never heard of the Quran.

First, our current world will end.

[Quran]:

Sura 81
( 1 )   When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]
( 2 )   And when the stars fall, dispersing,
( 3 )   And when the mountains are removed
( 4 )   And when full-term she-camels are neglected
( 5 )   And when the wild beasts are gathered
( 6 )   And when the seas are filled with flame

Our world will cease to see the sun. Stars would indeed fall and cease to exist; too. The seas would be filled with flames.

Sura 39
( 68 )   And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be standing, looking on.

It's the events that follow the blow of the horn that signals the end, which is actually a beginning

Sura 21
( 104 )   The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it.

Then

Sura 69
( 13 )   Then when the Horn is blown with one blast
( 14 )   And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow -
( 15 )   Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,
( 16 )   And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.
( 17 )   And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].
( 18 )   That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed.

That is the day. That is the hour.
Why did you think life; this life; was so fast? Why do children die? why do people get born crippled and handicapped? why do people get born with mountains of gold? why do people are born so hungry?

Born naked and small, grow grow grow, then die out like the leaves of a tree.
Can't you smell that day, coming? that hour?

We are being tested, nothing more, nothing less.

Sura 91
( 7 )   And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it

( 8 )   And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,

( 9 )   He has succeeded who purifies it,
( 10 )   And he has failed who instills it [with corruption].

At the heavy day, we will get the severe punishment, or the high price.
We either win or lose.

Did life manage to fool you? ask yourself why your loved ones always leave??
They always die so fast!

Fun stuff also go away so fast. The more beautiful something is, the more quickly it ends.
And all of us move to the heavy day, we never slow.

Alhamdulillah.(praise be to God). This is why Allah (God) tells us in the Qur'an to BELIEVE and DO RIGHTEOUS DEEDS. We have to do them together. U can't succeed in this life to have the pleasures of Paradise if u just believe in God but treat others like dirt and are tyrannical. Nor can u succeed if u are the nicest most kind loving person ever but u don't believe in God. So He tells us to do these together to be among the successful.

Another similarity between the Quran and the beliefs of the Zarathustrians is they believe in a day of judgement too. According to them all humans will be resurrected and judged. Muhammad is just a copy of Zoroaster because the Arabs where jealous and they knew you can use religion to bring order and control people.

LOL, you think this is an argument xD

No, this is no argument. Unlike MK, I know things are obvious. So so obvious. I mean, do I need arguments to prove a point so obvious, when the sun is there, the moon, the planets, cherry blossoms, merciful love between a maiden and her loving man? these, all of these, are the arguments

So, MK tries to convince you via "arguments" xD
I don't, I just transfer "the warning". There is no argument between me and you. Islam is all about warning about the heavy day, where there is torture, and ever lasting paradise where we be happy. So simple. I'm here because I like it here, but don't you ever think I'm responsible for you or that I'm trying to xD frankly I don't care. In judgement day, we'll run away from each other anyhow.

Yea yea yea yea, Atlas, its all the same God, Jewish stole the Yahweh character from the Canaanites polytheism. That is where the Christian AND Muslim God claims come from. None of them are real.

Life ends? No shit? Why do we mourn our family? EVOLUTION. Life is pretty? No shit, it does have some pretty things in it. But it also has some nasty shit too.

"Everything dies"..... No shit, even Shakespeare recognized that in MacBeth act 5 scene 5 "Flurry of activity signifying nothing"

Stating the obvious does not mean you know HOW it works. Those ambiguous quotes are not scientific explanations one bit.

A 5 year old can point to the sun today, but not know what it is made of. The people that wrote the Quran were as scientifically ignorant as the people that wrote the Jewish OT and Bible. Holy books are not science textbooks. All you are proving is that you found a pretty story you like. Still not a scientific explanation.

No such thing as an invisible sky wizard, by any name. The reason humans do good, is because we evolved to be social. Our species empathy is in our evolution, not old books of myth. You don't need a religion to do good or be good.

RE: The heavy day
Minor quibble, but the Macbeth quote runs "Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot; full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." I had to memorise it when I played Macbeth at school.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

When I first read the title I thought this was going to be a thread about menstruation.

On second thought, maybe it is.
