You can see this with their demonizing of anyone that is white, while giving everyone else special treatment. It's taking us back in some ways to the 50's, where people were judged by their skin color (and their sex) rather than their qualifications and etc. That's being a regressive twat. And what effect does that have on the poor white race? None. It's a persecution complex, plain and simple. On the same lines as the majority christians in the USA pull the persecution card at any given opportunity. There's no segregation in the making, as in the 50ies, with reversed roles.

And what real world consequences are there for minorities in 2016? A bit of police brutality on black people sure, that's a problem I agree. Anything else? Attractive women being used on billboards to sell a product? Really? How trivial. Rape culture doesn't exist, as most people know not to fuck a woman that is plastered unless they themselves are drunk and thus can't think much, as well as to only fuck if they give consent. The wage gap doesn't exist either, as that's just the result of education choices, career choices, and hours worked. Other than trans bathrooms and gay wedding cakes, what can you possibly point to that shows how minorities are being discriminated against that isn't just a bunch of trivial fucking whining?

Atheism is a lack of belief in god(s). That's it. We'd all be pretty boring if we didn't have other things we were interested in and passionate about.

Now-a-days, they've even taken to trying to ban scientists from talking at conferences or firing them from their job. Why? Because feelings.

Yeah, now that the regressive left has taken over the movement with people like Steve Shives and the like, it's basically become a modern incarnation of Atheism+. A message to the SJW's that may be reading this. If you want to see the secularist movement survive, stop trying to attach other dogmas to it, because you're only going to divide people.

Can anyone name an issue that actually has anything at all to do with atheism, that isn't just about atheists (such as how atheists are treated or perceived)?

For every other issue, I think atheism is irrelevant. Even religion, or secularism.
