Prayer is far more than asking things from God, it's one way of being in a relationship with Him. Yes God already knows the needs of everyone, our asking shows that we care for them even though God knew before hand. Don't you talk to your friends about things they already knew about, it's no different with God.

On one hand - I'm not surprised, since they're probably self-interested, sanctimonious douche-bags, with morality standards of goat-herding barbarians... I mean - christians. On the other hand - wow, sucks to be you. No wonder you prefer hanging out with atheists...

Has anyone ever thought about prayer boxes? Does God not listen unless multiple people pester it about the exact same issue? Or is it that prayer is more effective if it's conducted by higher ranking Theists in the community? Very curious to hear the rationale.

Supposedly prayers are better with two or more people. I don't remember why. I've never seen it to be true. Generally the worst off someone is health wise the more people they have praying for them. But they still die more than the healthier people with less prayers. Fancy that.

I have heard that because hope is good for mental health and stress, despair and being mentally unhealthy negatively impacts physical health: the more people praying for you when you might die from something the less likely you are to survive: But only if you know the people are praying for you. There were actually scientific studies on that. It's referenced in The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.

So, if anything prayer is actually bad for you. But only if you know people are praying for you.

Well I was hoping that some Theists would explain why they get other people to pray for them. Their god can do anything so it doesn't make sense to me that you would need more than one person to pray for something. If you were in a coma I could understand, but if you're able bodied then you don't need other people to pray for you.

 God responds to those who care for others, like I stated earlier prayer is part of the relationship with God, when God hears the prayers of many for the one it brings Him joy. Now does this mean God will answer the pray as it was prayed maybe, maybe not, it's answered according to God's will and providence.
