Just a heads up.

RE: Just a heads up.
Good luck, Losty. I haven't had a drink in a week and it's tough as hell to keep that inner bitch from coming out sometimes. Came oh-so-close to biting off a co-worker's head today, when all he was doing was being kinda clueless because he's new.

Well, I think I'm prepared...or as prepared as I can get. Nothing important to do and my sister and friends around in case I need anything.

I think somebody just volunteered to be first on the chopping block if Losty gets in a foul mood on detox. Tongue

I have a feeling that you are going to have both physical and mental withdrawal. I did cold turkey off injectable dilaudid. (not gonna tell the dose but I was hitting it every 4 hours). Got over the worst part of the physical withdrawal by the 5th day. Try to sleep as much as possible. No pain perception when unconscious.

You don't have to cut the patches. Create a second barrier with tape, then only expose the percentage of the patch to the skin that you want.

Wishing you the best!
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

It's good that you're anticipating a world of shit.

That's what I did when I began to give up smoking.  I told myself on the first day that in the weeks to come there's going to be days when work is going to be horrible, the girls I'm texting aren't going to text back, someone in my family might even die but I'm not going to smoke again no matter what, no excuses, no pipes, no weed, no shishas no vaporizers nothing that causes anything that even looks like smoke to go in and out of my mouth.

I had a similar experience with painkillers too, my wisdom tooth was growing sideways inside my jaw, I spent a whole summer high as fuck on several different strong painkillers.  I did genuinely need them and I didn't even know they were addictive so I was shocked when I still felt the urge to take them after the pain had gone.  I had the weirdest dreams ever on those painkillers and it would take me 4 hours of masturbation to orgasm sometimes.

I've pretty much felt the same through all the stuff I've given up, caffeine, nicotine, painkillers and alcohol. Smoking weed to an extent too and other illegal drugs but I didn't find them to be all that addictive for some reason.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

There are two great alternatives to pain meds.

1. Alcohol. Lovely, lovely, alcohol.

2. Violence - directed outwards towards your enemies (real and perceived).

Good luck Losty. If you need to vent or anything feel free to PM me, I struggle to this day with both stimulant and opiod addiction....so if you're having difficulties, I know how you feel.

Personally, I smoke weed to compensate, but I wouldn't suggest that as it's just switching your psychological dependency from one thing to another. But it does a good job of keeping me from going back to pills.

I was actually wondering if I could borrow your flame thrower in case I need to let off some steam. Tongue
