Good luck Losty. If you need to vent or anything feel free to PM me, I struggle to this day with both stimulant and opiod addiction....so if you're having difficulties, I know how you feel.

Personally, I smoke weed to compensate, but I wouldn't suggest that as it's just switching your psychological dependency from one thing to another. But it does a good job of keeping me from going back to pills.

I have zero guilt about any dependencies I may have. Weed is not an option for me because it's illegal where I live and I have young impressionable children who don't need to see their mom hauled off to jail. But it's been approved for medical purposes. I don't know if you can actually get it yet because it passed fairly recently. It could be an option one day but it's not the plan for now. We are going to get me meds free. (Pain meds only I can't quit my other meds.) and then we will start at low doses and work up until I'm ok. Cutting out the fentanyl permanently I hope. I fucking love that stuff for pain relief but it does a wonder on my ability to walk like a normal person. And driving is something I'm legally allowed to do but I'm annoyingly cautious because I don't want to fuck that up with kids in the car.

50 mcg is certainly a high enough dose to experience withdrawal symptoms, so it's good to know that you and your physician have a contingency plan that can be quickly implemented in the event that cold turkey doesn't work out. 

I certainly hope it does, but if it doesn't, it just doesn't though; You may have to take the long way home.

Today begins the journey of 2 weeks off all pain meds.
If I survive I'll be attempting a new cocktail that allows me to be mostly not wanting to die without making me go through life high as fuck all the time. Good bye fentanyl you were good to me T_T

I just wanted to apologize in advice for any possible assholery. Day one hasn't been as horrid as I had anticipated. I assume that might be from lingering stuffs. That fentanyl is a patch so it'll probably linger for a little bit. I'm skeered. Ok that is all. I'll try real hard not to be a total bitch.

You don't have to cut the patches. Create a second barrier with tape, then only expose the percentage of the patch to the skin that you want.

Whoa, that works? It doesn't, like, make 'em easier to fall off, or screw up the delivery mechanism or something?
