They stick better if you warm them up with your hand when you apply them?

Whoa, that works? It doesn't, like, make 'em easier to fall off, or screw up the delivery mechanism or something?
It works. May have to run adhesive tape over the patch to keep it on, but it works. The delivery is simply through the patch barrier down a concentration gradient. Less patch on the skin, less delivery. Works with most transdermal patches that way.

I spent the better part of a year putting these things on Luckie, and I never knew that. Hopefully she'll never have to go on the stuff again, but I'll keep that in mind anyway: thanks for the tip!

And I'm sure you know this, but let's remind everyone, fentanyl patches are VERY dangerous.
If one falls off and a kid sticks it on somewhere, they can die.
So, never let kids see them, never let kids see what is done with them, and never let kids get one that falls off, or is (supposedly) used up.
Never, never, never.
Also, had a family member that was allergic to them; she survived, barely. I wasn't a pleasant experience. Took them long time to realize what the problem was, and then, just removing the patch didn't help right away, they had to wait for it to wear off and it took hours. VERY scary.
And don't let kids scrape the stuff out of them and smoke it either . . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Or you can just remove one of the film barriers to ensure exactly half of the dosage.
Doesn't work with the gel patches Losty has, though.
EDIT: Never mind. Thought you were talking about cutting patches.

Warm the patch up. Place it under your thigh and clean the area to be patched with a little alcohol to remove any oils or soap film. When the patch is warmed to body temperature, it will be ready to stick and the area to be patched should be good and dry now.
