There is actually some framework by which they may join the EU independently even if they don't vote for independence. But Scotland overwhelmingly voted remain; this might be the straw that breaks the camels back.

If it is, this vote will have been the vote that dissolved the UK. Not what leavers had in mind, I'd reckon.

I'll be blunt... I see this as a victory for reactionary politics, and that in my opinion is the worst kind
a victory for people who aren't happy unless they're angry or complaining about something. Sorry but that's my opinion.
