UK to leave EU

Not surprised the EU want us out after we displayed how unreliable we are by fucking ourselves.
Well, if Scotland breaks free and sticks with EU, then there really is no going back, but till then I am keeping hope. And I do hope, for all our sake, that the optimism of bella, napo, maddog isn't baseless and that UK actually manages to pull through after this, else I dare not think about the after effects.

If the NHS stays I think I'm okay. I can't afford to pay for healthcare.

I think he makes a good point about the EU not being bound by the ECHR. Not a good enough point to make me change my position but enough to be worth thinking about and something to hope to change if we get the EU back. Dude, dude! The UK, by having birthrights in royalty violates article 1: All humans are born equal. You could have stood there. Why you rant on vaping is beyond me and notjing more deserving of a few laughs. There's a difference between pulling through and the dawn of a golden age. Of course the UK will pull through in some way, whatever that means for the individual citizens. In the news today, even the brexit politicians want to negotiate with the EU for some kind of associated deal. Yeah, but here's the thing. This deal, even if they manage an association in the way Switzerland, Norway or Iceland have, the UK hasn't got voice anymore. No vote, no veto, no influence on any of the decisions. The UK's voice has been pretty loud, and sadly heared by the EU brass, far too often when they made their decision to hand out yet another special deal to take home. These times are definetely over. My fear is that if Scotland breaks free, EU might seek to make an example out of UK so as to prevent the other members from quitting, and that translates to very very bad dealings for UK, especially since without the scotts, the UK will take a major blow to it's trading capabilities... Seeing as there are many strong nationalist parties in Europe, they have to turn this into an example in any case to preserve the EU. Otherwise the likes of Le Pen, Wilders, Strache, the AFD in Germany, only to name a few of them, would be encouraged further and get further leverage. So, there's no real choice there, from a purely political perspective. That's also the reason why many influencal EU politician push for speeding up the process. The longer the insecurity lasts, the bigger the possible fallout. If they act logically, is written on a different page. But if they don't, others are likely to follow. I'm not talking about those countries already ruled by nationalists, such as Poland or Hungary, since they get too much out of the EU coffers, but France could be a very real possibility, if Le Pen manages to get elected next year. There is already kind of a nationalist internationale, ironically with the only outspoken goal of destroying the idea of a united Europe. RE: UK to leave EU
