Well the future PM Boris has already said there's 'no real appetite' (rofl guy's a troll) to a Scottish referendum. Don't think they're having one mate.

Considering the economic experts think the economy is negatively affected by Brexit I doubt you're able to predict that we'll be better off economically in 10-20 years due to Brexshit.

Well I can look at Europe's "successes" over the last 40 years and make a judgement call. Mediterranean countries destroyed by the single currency. Lower and lower share of global GDP. The slowest growth of any large market in the world. Countries going bankrupt and us having to bail them out. Huge amounts of debt. Deflation. High unemployment.

Is staying in really the only option?

Almost missed this.

Do you think your own cherry picking is superior to the economic experts' assessments on the matter?

It was hard not to laugh when I saw Boris Johnson's entire speech was about "at least we're offering hope" as if hope is a good thing when it's false and in fact going to do more damage than good?

Seriously people would rather any answer than no answer. It's the same reason so many people in this world prefer "Goddidit" to "We don't know yet."

This sums it up perfectly... politician's logic:

This.

Even the economic experts don't know that. This "all's well that ends well" attitude to fucking the economy over does no good when no one fucking knows how it ends but it sure as hell is fucking crystal clear that here and now things are fucked.

What part was cherry picked? The part where Greece has gone bankrupt? The part where global GDP has dwindled? What?

EXACTLY Squishy. Doing the wrong thing is worse than doing nothing... but not according to Boris motherfucking Johnson.

I mean confirmation bias. The EU isn't all bad but you've selected -- cherry picked out -- some bad parts.

My primary criticism is this: What makes you think your assessment is superior to the assessment made by expert economists?

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
