Looks like they were connecting the dots pretty clearly to me.
But then fooling assholes is the basis of 'democracy.' We see it in the Drumpf campaign, too.
Yeah, that's still not promising anything.

No, I would certainly do an excellent job as Brexit Secretary though.

The killing of that agreement is a good thing, to be honest. Because, frankly, a lot of the clauses in TTIP which would give companies control of national sovereignty and allow for increased tax evasion and lesser compliance with laws were also being carried in the Canada agreement.
It would have been kind of pointless killing one without killing the other.

My fiancé told me today that her main lab equipment and consumables supplier (Fischer scientific) have put up their prices, in a statement blaming Brexit. So now her grant for consumables has to stretch further than it already does.

Descendants of Jewish refugees seek German citizenship after Brexit vote
It's of interest to me because I'm currently trying to get the information I need to get my own German passport. I was hoping to stay in the UK a bit longer but we might well be moving back at the beginning of next year. But one thing that stood out was this:
Quote:Marshall’s nephew, Sam Bowers, a 28-year-old tropical ecologist at Edinburgh University, said the German citizenship he received at the country’s embassy in London on 14 September was his post-Brexit insurance policy. He hopes it will enable him to work and carry out research in his specialised field elsewhere in Europe.
“There’s a lot of concern in my academic field as to where our funding will come from in future, as a lot of it is EU money,” Bowers said. “And for me to be able to compete for jobs in Europe without the disadvantage of a non-EU passport is hugely important.”

Indeed, it's no revelation that university and HE funding for research specifically is going to get tighter and more scarce as a result of Brexit. It's no mystery why, either, when a lot of research funding comes from the EU.

Quote:Theresa May has vowed to carry out Brexit "in full" despite the High Court ruling on leaving the EU.
The prime minister said the government needed to "get on with the job" and MPs should "accept" the referendum result.
Writing in the Sunday Telegraph she said she was appealing against the High Court decision because there was "an important principle at stake".
Jeremy Corbyn said Labour would block Article 50 if Mrs May does not guarantee access to the single market.
On Thursday, the High Court ruled Parliament should vote on when the government can trigger Article 50, beginning the formal process of the UK leaving the EU.

Another country that wants to do business with Britain.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-37886179
Quote:Trade between Colombia and the UK has the potential to grow after Brexit, the country's president has suggested.
Juan Manuel Santos said a new agreement could be better than Colombia's current free trade deal with the EU.
Interviewed for Sunday's edition of the BBC's Andrew Marr Show, Mr Santos said there was an opportunity for greater UK trade with emerging markets.
Mr Santos held talks with Prime Minister Theresa May at Downing Street last week during his state visit.
At the time he said Colombia, Chile, Peru and Mexico - the Pacific Alliance free trade bloc - represented a "huge opportunity for British business".
He told the BBC: "What I said to Prime Minister May is, 'listen, we are ready to simply have a free trade agreement with the UK and have the same conditions or even improved', because many times in free trade agreements with a group of countries some countries object to some issues and maybe we can even go further."
However, he stressed that no negotiations would take place until the UK had confirmed its eventual economic relationship with the EU.
The UK and Colombia's trading relationship was worth £1bn last year and the Mr Santos and Mrs May announced a new oil and gas partnership after their meeting.
Mrs May also said she wanted Colombian businesses to see the UK as a leading hub for finance, innovation, research and development.
