Nobody's laughing right now, because nothing happened yet. Except for pound now being the same value as euro, I suppose. There have been no talks, no declaration of Article 50, no resolution in Scotland, nothing to suggest what position UK will be in after the changes, which will occur over the next few years. But seeing the people, responsible for the negotiations and their obvious lack of any concrete plan for the future of UK, I can confidently promise you - the world will laugh at Brexit again, a number of times, before this whole mess is over. Especially once Trump is dealt with and US presidential election stops hogging all the attention.

That's yet another political failure. The opposition mainly comes from too little information. Maybe it's a good deal, maybe it's shit. Nobody really knows because the governments don't communicate with their peoples.

It's the same with TTIP. I have to admit being against it, although I don't know why. But not knowing what's really in it apart from what is leaked from more or less dubious sources, is the major reason why I am against it. Go figure. I'd like to have an informed opinion.

Freedom of movement of people within the EU is one of the "four freedoms" the fundamental base of the common market. Unless the UK agrees to it (probably in Schengen form, meaning less freedom than they have now inside the EU), then no access to the common market. They'll be allowed trade with the EU all right, but it'll be a lot harder, especially for the financial sector which is a disproportionately large share of the UK economy (especially seeing as the City of London* is the world's largest offshore tax haven by a few orders of magnitude).

*The Square Mile has a unique political situation inside of the UK, stemming from rights granted to it by various monarchs in the medieval period which have essentially meant that parliament or the crown have no sovereignty over it, i.e. the UK's laws have much less of an effect within the Square Mile than in the rest of the country, excepting the Duchy of Cornwall (which has also got medieval exceptions which supersede UK law in certain vital areas, e.g. if you die intestate within the boundary of the Duchy, Prince Charles automatically inherits your estate).
