UK to leave EU

Did you really expect them to congratulate you on your decision? That would be the same as initialising self destruct. I guess, not even the biggest idiot expected a no consequences involved reaction. If they actually did, they're an even bigger idiot than I could dream up in my wildest nightmares.

Scare you?

Based on what?

Adapting to the consequences? Pretty much. That's what this is all about. You made your bed, but don't expect the rest of us to make it one of roses on your way out. On a personal note, it's our tax money too. Not that I have any say in the matter, but I wouldn't want to see it wasted on some nationalist chest pounding.

So if you're gonna change your point does that mean you concede your previous one? Big Grin

By the way you are talking people may think the EU is a good thing, are there any Greeks on this forum we can bring into this conversation?

Shitty as the austerity measures are, but do you really think the Greeks would rather file for bankrupcy. Because that would have happened if they hadn't been dealt billions in EU tax money. Money out of my pocket too, by the way.

The Greeks are on the receiving end of their previous governments. As I said in the other thread, their governments made their bed. By exempting the large ship owners from paying any tax, by lying themeselves into the Euro zone, for which they didn't meet the requirements as we know today, and by affording and supplying the luxury of one of the largest armies in the whole of Europe. They were spending as if there was no tomorrow. And now they're paying the bill. Sadly the wrong people, but that's not EU's fault, but the fault of Greek governments taking the steps to lead the country to the brink of bankrupcy. The EU is keeping the country afloat for several years now. The clusterfuck is an entirely national acheivement.

Yeah, and the Greek economy and others are the types of economies that exist within the EU, thank's for making that valid point, as I said I'm singing down the pub in half an hour but I couldn't resist the temptation of replying to you backing me up. Wink

Making your point, is it? How so? If it was the national government fucking them over. But I'm sure you have some delusion to support your fantasy.
