Questions For USians Who Know More About US Politics Than I Do

(which is probably most of you)
A story getting fairly wide coverage here is how a significant portion of Mr. Trumps campaign funds are just going back into one or another of Trump-owned businesses. Since I haven't seen any discussion of it on the boards (not to say it isn't here, just that I haven't seen it), a few questions:
1. Is this legal?
2. Is this ethical?
3. Has it ever been an issue with another Presidential candidate?
4. Why aren't you arming yourself with pitchforks and torches and marching on Trump's campaign headquarters like the peasants on Frankenstein's castle?

1. Yes, it's legal.
2. No, it's not ethical.
3. Candidates usually erect a steel wall between their campaigns and their profitable interests, and go so far as to publicly resent any implication that they haven't because of 2, regardless of 1.
4. The Pitchfork and Torch demographic is Trumps home turf. Some folks are antsy about it though, and it's probably going to impact his campaign fundraising.

His campaign offices and some events are in his privately held buildings. Trumpus charges rents to the campaign. His self payment is a myth. He has loaned the campaign money and I am sure expects it to be paid back. May be that is source of the claim about money going back to his businesses. I am ashamed of my country right now. But I have been ashamed all my life for one reason or another. One positive note about a Trumpus victory is that the comedy will get bitingly good again. That gold plated dumpster fire is rich in potential.

2. It's another reason to demand that he release his tax returns. Hillary has to chomp down hard on his nuts over that.
3. I can't recall it ever coming up before. The first thing most politicians do is run out and raise shitloads of money. What he seems to be learning is that the money wing of the party hates his fucking ass and the trailer-trash that love him are broke.
