To anyone who actually thought she was going to be indicted:
INVISIBLE PINK UNICORN FOR SALE Shits gold, and pisses rainbows. $20k or best offer.
It won't matter in the least to the most rabid among the anti-Hillary crowd. Next come the claims that someone (take your pick: Obama, Bill Clinton, etc.) has exerted undue influence on the FBI to keep Hillary out of hot water. Real evidence, or lack thereof, has never stopped these people before and won't now.
Oh, of course not. Drumpf is already out with his 2d grade tweets saying its "bad, very bad, unfair." The man has the mentality of an 8 year old.

'Gross negligence/extreme carelessness' is now a defense instead of an indictment.
Wunnerful. Next time you don't feel like taking the kid out of the backseat on a hot day, Hillary's got your 6. Well, it'll be survivable in a run against Trump, but had the 'pubs nominated an actual viable candidate, we'd be looking at an 8 year shitstorm thanks to Hillary's arrogance. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

So they couldn't pin any crookedness on her? Wonder how soon before we hear a retraction from the Donald.
Well, they had to redefine some legal stuff to make it work. You know, what is your definition of 'is' kinda thing.
I don't like Hill playing close to the edge, so close that she has to rely on the edge being moved to keep her from effing up. Still, not too high a price to pay to secure the SCOTUS, but sheesh, why take the fucking chance in the first place. It's galling. I should invoke Souter now, but with multiple picks, it isn't going to be a realistic factor. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
The important details:
110 emails had classified info (at time of sending) 8 chains top secret info (at time of sending) 36 secret info (at time of sending) 8 confidential (at time of sending) "Let me repeat what I have repeated for many months now, I never received nor sent any material that was marked classified." - Hillary Clinton (July 5, 2016 at 12:02 pm)vorlon13 Wrote: 'Gross negligence/extreme carelessness' is now a defense instead of an indictment. She was negligent, just not criminally so. This isn't hard to understand.
Some positive aspects though:
1) This will almost certainly be the final nail in the coffin for Trump's campaign. Clinton will be able to deflect a lot of criticism by pointing to this decision. 2) If there is one thing I think will come from this, it will be demand for more serious consequences for people like Clinton in the future; that is, we will see legislation passed and rules enacted to ensure that people cannot set up private servers for government emails, and especially, that if people do try and do this, they should be prosecuted. |
