Until I see somethings  that shows it's not all just their imagination, I'll continue to assume it to be the most likely explanation. But they can believe whatever they want, as long as they don't hurt anyone. And I'd rather they didn't force their kids to believe it either.

I get what you're saying, but do you get my point that not being able to think like a spiritual man would handicap you from being able to ponder things in a new light? I get that what I'm saying is almost circular. I am not trying to invent a new proof of god, its more just something I think about concerning people around me that seem to be more "spiritual." But hell, they could be like the people in church that fall to the ground and shake because everyone else is doing it

How would you go about testing whether these alleged "spiritual" people are really seeing things in a new light, or deluding themselves?

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

I saw a woman moving her hand over different types of scratch cards in the shop, like she was trying to sense which one was the most likely to win. Seriously. I managed not to laugh. But it's no more ridiculous than anything else "spiritual" people say.

Intuition is a powerful thing, my friend.

Not being stoned out of my head on drugs also makes it harder for me to "see" certain things. It's just that those things aren't real in the first place.

Yep, those folks with the magic intuition are always cleaning up on those damn state lotteries.

All in accord with God's plan . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Hell, there is scripture, ain't there, that God controls the dice ??

There can't be any need for intuition then, and suggesting there is would be contrary to Gods word and intent.

Intuition can sometimes be useful. It can be our brains coming to probabilistic conclusions without being able to adequately explain how they got there to our conscious mind (I think). But it can also be hopelessly unreliable, especially when there's no actual information for it go on.

Being able to tell the difference is the problem.
