I have lived here since November of 2000. I cannot state that I absolutely love living here and neither can I state that I abhor living here. I am rather neutral in relation to where I reside.

I had a hard time. I didn't like the weather. I found it humid. I also had a rough time maintaining friendships (I was surrounded by Catholics and Baptists in my neighborhood). 

But, I have family ties over around Orlando and St. Lucie County. I've been able to shake that off and make friends with FL again.

I am not sure about the death penalty thing but there are so many things wrong with that state I wouldn't be surprised.   Seeing that state fade away in my rearview mirror was a joy even greater than seeing my ex husband do the same.
