Please, please, please learn what the Bible actually says before you try to argue against it and God. It really makes you look stupid to the Christians here and the atheist if they were honest wouldn't have much respect for you. If we were doing a face to face debate before a crowd you would get laughed out of the building.

Acts 5King James Version (KJV)
5 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

Christians everywhere singing and praying for it to happen in our lifetimes. What a horrible vision to wish upon nature and humanity. GC ... You keep your nightmares. I have enough of my own.

Nighthtmares? This is the shit you christians hope will happen in your lifetime:

1] And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
[2] And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
[3] And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
[4] And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
[5] And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
[6] For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
[7] And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
[8] And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
[9] And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
[10] And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
[11] And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
[12] And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
[13] And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
[14] For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
[15] Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
[16] And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
[17] And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
[18] And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
[19] And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
[20] And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
[21] And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

I am positive that when the time comes good christians everywhere will be glad to lend god a hand and throw a few heathens into the lake of fire.

Surely you can understand the reason for Ananias and Sapphira's death after reading those passages, if not then let me explain it to you, they were punished for lying to the Holy Spirit. As Peter said they did not have to sale their land and when they did they didn't have to give any of it to the church. They lied about what they were going to do and tried to cover it up. I had ninth graders in my youth class and they could understand this.

Christians will be there in the end times and I'm pretty sure most would prefer not to be there, the so called "rapture" isn't even in the scriptures, so yes we will be there. By the way it's none believers who will place their own selves in hell.

Considering it's never been proven that hell actually exists, I'm not worried.

But I do have some beautiful ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.

So essentially, you're saying that God will be responsible for the eventual demise of thousands of people living in California? Well, I don't live in CA. And if and when The Big One happens, it'll be because of a natural disaster commonly referred to as an earthquake. See, if it really was up to your god, he could easily prevent that, saving hundreds of thousands of lives. But you apologists are all the same. You'll give God credit for those sheeple who survive but ignore the rest of God's people - you know, those ever faithful sheeple who die, making up some sort of excuse for why God allowed that to happen. Really, for your imaginary sky daddy, it's a win-win situation. You and others like you always seem to ignore the parts of your god that are unpleasant.

Keep on believing in your narcissistic fantasy creature. Whatever helps you sleep bro.

RE: Lucifer
I guess some people can't handle the idea that "bad" things happen for no "good reason". There has to be some sort of plan behind it all, some sort of purpose.

Unfortunately they end up creating an explanation which is either incomplete, or at best partly evil. It has to be both responsible for things, and not responsible, at the same time. That doesn't make any sense to me. I don't know how it makes sense to anyone.

Of course, there are some people who have no problem with it being partly evil. They are at least consistent. But I worry about them being sociopaths.
