Oh, okay, so you're changing the answer YOU chose from my hypothetical above. You think testimony IS reliable as evidence for things and since (according to you and your fallacy) scientific research and bible scripture are both testimony, which position do you think is most reasonable?
'Both scripture AND scientific research are equally sufficient evidence for things, and I accept some combination of both.'
OR
'I accept one over the other.'
You asked me for concerning the above, and as I had stated, I was answering still under the assumption (from the comments enclosed in parenthesis in your questions) that testimony was still de facto insufficient evidence in consideration. The question was different in you asked what I thought was reasonable.
As to your questions here, that is a pretty broad spectrum, to be making generalizations about. I would say that it is better to work from solid principles, and then apply them to the specifics, not the other way around.

And your answer as to which position would be reasonable will depend on whether you consider testimony sufficient evidence or not, lol. This isn't that hard, RR. You have to be fucking with me.

It's the same damn question and you know it. I was trying to give you one last opportunity to clarify your POV, which you seem pretty intent on NOT doing.

Nah, I'd say it's better to stop wasting my time with an intellectually dishonest person who has no intention of committing to any point at all; who prefers to draw endless, illogical mazes leading to nowhere. [emoji849]

Sorry, guy. I can't simply imbue you with reading comprehension skills. If you wanna read back through my hypothetical and take another shot at a coherent response, I'll be happy to continue the discussion.

No...you can read it again and try at a response, or I'm done. I'm not re-typing the whole thing over because you don't want to click back a few pages and re-read.

So you want me to re-type my answer? I don't base my reasonable based on the topic.... All though begging the question seems to be the norm around here.... Your not going to get me to do it....if you want an answer based on reason of evidence your going to have to be more specific.

Yeah, forget about it LFC. He just wants you to be the one to make the positive assertion. It's easier to attack someone else's position than it is to defend your own faulty position.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

LOL. If I re-typed my question and then you re-typed your answer...oh, man. That'd be hilarious. This has gotten beyond ridiculous. I feel like you might actually be 12 years old, RR. [emoji41]

I understand.... Since I have been LMAO arguing similar to many atheist I have encountered, being told I'm committing fallacies, and just about every version of stupid... Yet the answer was simple.....all one had to do is say they are bad arguments to make without reason. Or say that is not what is meant, or that some further clarification is needed rather than simply dismissing all testimony. But then in my opinion, one may have to think about testimony that the would prefer not to accept. And when faced against this type of thinking, I often feel the same way as your last comment. So I understand.
