In brief:  A severely autistic man broke away from his group home, carrying a toy truck.  Police receive a call about a man with a gun.  The patient was white, his therapist was black.  Guess who the police shot?

Hate to break it to you, Boru, but there are several threads already containing and debating the story.

Jesus Christ in a cardigan sweater - don't you people have anything better to do than point out that Min beat me to it?

When I beat him to the story about the Bronze Age discovery in Peterborough, no one bothers to say, 'Wow, someone beat our resident historian/archaeologist to a story about history/archaeology.' No, it's nothing but, 'Poor Boru, so slow off the mark. Dementia in one so young. Sad. So very, very sad.'

Sheesh. Now I'm so upset I'll have to go lie down and yell for someone to make me a sandwich.

"I'm a mental health worker/carer trying to help my patient"

"Oh..."

"I don't have a gun, it's a plastic toy that my patient is holding"

"GUN!! Shots fired shots fired!"

Poor guy.

If it makes you feel better, we could start saying that in your thread.  Tongue
