Poor Bernie.

It's finally dawning on him what an arrogant bunch of shits made up his fan club!

This could be one of those rare cases where the candidate is actually superior to his backers.

I don't think they were booing him so much as showing their disilusionment with the whole political process and where it got them. If they had something against him, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be chanting "We want Bernie" by the end of that clip.
I hope they listen to him, though.

I wonder how much of the Bernie supporters' response can be chalked up to youthful impatience. It's not as though the changes he advocated were going to come to pass during four or eight years of a Sanders presidency, especially given the intransigence of Congress -- both sides of the aisle. This is what the Sanders people need to understand. This fight will not and cannot be won in a single skirmish but will be a years-long brawl against entrenched interests. Presidents are powerful, yes, but they aren't genies who can grant wishes. The lasting change will come when enough down-ticket seats at both the federal and state levels are won by people who are on board with serious reform, and that won't happen if progressives take their ball and go home in a huff. They need to settle in for the political equivalent of siege warfare, and take over the fucking party machinery!
Sanders has done a great service to this country, in my opinion, by even getting large numbers of people talking about political reform. If he proves in time to be the catalyst who sparked a lasting movement that eventually achieves his goals, he will be remembered as a hero. It's up to his supporters to carry the torch forward, and that means growing the hell up, not being Pollyannas, and getting to work.
Having said that, I think the DNC's behavior in regard to Bernie, as revealed by the leaked emails, is disgraceful. I am not inclined to reward Clinton or the Democratic party for this scandalous treatment of Bernie particularly and progressives generally. But that's easy for me to say because I live in a state that almost certainly will go Republican in the general election. However, if the polls in Louisiana appear to be close come November, you can bet your ass I'll vote for Clinton. Anything to keep Trump out of office.
Perspective. It's a good thing.

Indeed. While I'm personally going to do what I must to ensure Trump doesn't win my state if it looks to be even remotely close come November, I'm going to remember this election - the DNC needs to fix their shit, sooner rather than later. This kind of corrupt, undemocratic nonsense doesn't belong in any US political party, much less one with "Democratic" in the title. Those responsible should be ashamed of themselves.

Should being the operative word here. But being ashamed is an alien word to politicians these days. Especially in America where everything's for sale, including politics. You won't see change as long as the money equals free speech verdicts aren't overturned. Political careers are built on doing the bidding of the donors. Oftentimes with lucrative jobs at the end of the political career in mind.

Why? What is "disgraceful" about the DNC trying to elect a democrat instead of a lifelong independent who decided to make a run in the only possible place which would tolerate him? Did the RNC unite to assist Drumpf? I think not. It really is time to learn what a political "party" is and what it is not.
Sanders has shown a lot more common sense than his backers.

I'm not surprised that at least some of his supporters would be angry at him supporting someone as slimy as Hillary. The green party donations went up 1000% recently for pretty good reason. I don't think Hillary deserves his support. Hillary is lucky that her opponent is so insane, or she wouldn't have a chance at election. And she might still lose it.

So, just for clarity, Min - you're happy that the DNC violated it's own rules regarding impartiality amongst candidates?
Good luck attracting independent voters.

Yeah - they can screw themselves up their own assholes and vote for the Orange Baboon if they like. That's their choice. Or they waste their time and vote for the two distractions that are out there.
Is this about the direction of the country or is about their own petty little egos?
