Yes, and for his privacy I don't use it online. I do use a pic of him as an avatar on one board I participate on. That pic makes him look 'Cerebral', LOL.

He's named for a defunct business that was in Omaha, NE when I was a kid.


#1 cat is named for a creature on Star Trek.

LOL, no, not Enron. I had a relative working there during the implosion and the subsequent resurrection under Northern Natural.

I asked if there was any difference between the 2 regimes, and she said yes; Northern Natural makes us work.

Dad worked for Portland General Electric as an ecologist since the early 1970's. PGE was bought out by Enron in (mumble) and Dad had the foresight to dump the Enron stock held in his retirement account before the implosion, and further, he had the good sense to take early retirement when offered.

LOL, you know how many franchises there are in the Star Trek pantheon and how many 'creatures' there have been ??

And I can guaranty it is an obscure one (appeared in a single episode briefly and name only used once). Additionally, friends and family who are aware of the name have never associated it with Star Trek. Having said that, it was a perfect cat name, even though the 'creature' was not cat like like.

As for #2, no, I wouldn't confirm a correct guess, and Omaha is a metro area of over 1/2 a million these days, there are more defunct businesses than current active ones, you're profoundly unlikely to guess the correct one.

There are more fun things to do at AF.
