Drumpfuck Does Not Know

It was a bad vote from her and 373 other Congresspersons. But I would rather see her in office that Trump; at least I can hope she's learnt from the experience ... compared with Trump having no experience at all in making such decisions.

She obviously didn't though, not if her time as Secretary of State is any indication, or statements that she's made about Syria less then a week ago. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/...ous-assad/

Quote: Hillary Clinton will order a "full review" of the United States' strategy on Syria as a "first key task" of her presidency, resetting the policy to emphasise the "murderous" nature of the Assad regime, foreign policy adviser with her campaign has said.
Jeremy Bash, who served as chief of staff for the Pentagon and the Central Intelligence Agency, said Mrs Clinton would both escalate the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, and work to get Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian president, "out of there".
"A Clinton administration will not shrink from making clear to the world exactly what the Assad regime is," he said in an exclusive interview with The Telegraph. "It is a murderous regime that violates human rights; that has violated international law; used chemical weapons against his own people; has killed hundreds of thousands of people, including tens of thousands of children."

Does that not sound familiar to you at all? You might as well just switch Syria for Iraq and Assad for Saddam. It's the exact same argument from the exact same person, just 15 years later. Nothing has changed with Hillary. It's not all about Hillary though. Really though nothing has changed in US foreign policy post Jimmy Carter. It's all been the same load of shit.

Not saying that she has learnt ... but rather, that Trump has even less a grasp on the matter.

The way things are going by the time January rolls around the Syrians/Russian/Kurds amalgam will have Raqqa in a box and Mosul will be a smoking ruin thanks to the Iraqis, Iranians, Kurds and us.  And then ISIS will go back to doing what they did best - setting off truck bombs in Baghdad - and beginning the whole cycle of oppression again.

Bush fucked up the middle east for the rest of this century.  And we can't fix it.

Gives a punny twist to the phrase "you can't fix what elephants do."

I agree, I don't think Trump has much of a grasp on much of anything really, except how to make money and be on TV. Him and this Khan guy is another non-issue for me though. Much a-do about nothing. If you read Trump's actual tweets and interview about him, 'attack' or 'insult' is a pretty big overstatement. Especially considering that Khan called Donald Trump a black soul and all Trump said was his wife wasn't allowed to speak. It would have be smarter to say nothing, but the whole thing is another total non-issue.

Muhammad fucked up the middle east 1400 years ago. Bush just added gasoline to a burning building.

I don't think it's within our power to fix the middle east, it is within our power to leave the middle east.

The oil companies would hate that.

You need to remember who really calls the shots.

Because in no way should a Presidential candidate belittle a veteran's final sacrifice for the sake of political points.

The real surprise is why no one on Trump's team said, "Sir, under no circumstances should you use his death as a bludgeon."

I'll have to talk to other vets before I can get any sort of pulse on veteran attitudes but I'd.certainly like to hear from the other veterans on the board.

Myself, I find it disgusting. Of course I was not going to vote Trump anyway, so I could well be biased ... but I think even if he were my candidate, I'd still find this angle of attack disgusting.

I'm a vet. I believe gold star families should be off limits to political insult from any side. If they want to come forward to speak on a political issue, that's fine. What they say can be criticized. But on a personal level, they should get a pass from being blasted by politicians in public.

I'm not saying this is a rational position, it is almost entirely based on my feelings and the reason part is hard to articulate. It provokes an instant gut reaction in me. I think a lot of vets feel the same way.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

I would hardly say Trump 'Blasted him' I haven't gone over every tweet with a fine tooth comb, so I could be wrong and news reports really aren't very specific on what exactly what so insulting. I think this was probably a bait on the part of the DNC, get a muslim who's son died, have him insult Trump fully and try to provoke a response. No matter what the response was (it seemed to be pretty mild for Trump) crucify him in the press. We really just shouldn't care about this kind of stuff.

If collectively we cared less about non-issues like this, we'd never get a candidate like Trump to start with.

Drumpf simply does not have any impulse control at all.  He does not know when to shut his fucking mouth.

Quote:Narcissism, disagreeableness, grandiosity—a psychologist investigates how Trump’s extraordinary personality might shape his possible presidency.

Or, to put it more succinctly.
