Does not say if she bothered to tell an employee about that, or if that is the cause of the death.

Just a really horrible tragedy though. Sad

So your on a ride and notice that the safety feature is not working so you do it again and again.

Honestly, I stopped getting shocked at stories of people dying at Water Parks when I started reading about Action Park and its infamous Cannonball Loop:

And it's apparently going to be revived soon:

And that's exactly the attitude that made me eat my ice cream in secret. Because, well, back in the 60ies, it was considered to be hurtful for the almonds. Or go out without some hat or coat, in order to not catch a cold.

I know, RIGHT?  That was my first thought.

If a harness is lose or not working on any ride, I would tell the operators of that ride right away, and then stick around to make sure they fixed it or stopped using that seat, at least.  Seriously.

Isn't it amazing how any of us survived childhood back in the 50's and 60's when there weren't warning labels on everything and you didn't have to wear a fucking helmet to ride a bike?

However did we manage it, I wonder?

Did you seek counseling for the trauma caused by having to keep your ears warm as a child? Tongue

No, but the fact I'm remembering something as trivial points to some nasty memory. Or some happy one, but since I don't associate happy with that memory it has to be the former. Probably also the reason for why I hate any kind of headwear to this very day. No matter how cold or rainy the day. Might be some food for thought as far as childhood memories go.

Ok Ab, curse us damn hippy dippy new age parents for wanting to keep our kids safe. Why when I was a kid I stepped on a rusty nail in my own bedroom (true story by the way) and I still had to finish cleaning my room before I was allowed to go to the hospital. Now look at the mess my kids are in, they don't even have any rusty nails in their rooms! Angry How will the ever learn about the real world in this bubble! Angry
