What would evidence of a God even look like?

Sounds slightly more compelling than a giant rock.

-but no less fictitious or ignorant.

If that's the evidence of your god, then I can say with certainty that your god doesn't exist as anything other than your preferred bed time story. Likely, to you, that would mean that god "doesn't exist".

See how easy this is, that's what the evidence of a god looks like...if anyone was actually wondering.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

If I peeled a banana and it looked like this I would consider it to be evidence of a god. A perverted god but a god none the less.

And we know all the laws of physics and exactly how they work and all the possible ways they can be worked together?

How is that any different from the God of the Gaps argument "Can't explain it, must be God."?

Why would some mysterious object prove a God?" What exactly do you have in mind?  Are you imagining a little signature in the corner of "something in explicable" that says "I did this." God

Aren't we all overthinking this? Proof of God would be if he appeared to all of us and went "sup"

Would he have a name tag that says "God" so you would be sure? Popcorn

We'd have to ask the individual god believer, wouldn't we? It's no sillier than a burning bush, or splitting the moon in half.....to each his own.

Which creation story?
The literalist version that says Earth was created in 6 days about 6000 years ago?
Or the metaphorical version that says the story is not direct science, so an Earth created over thousands and thousands of years about 4.5 billion years ago is compatible with the Bible?

If the first, it's just wrong, so that doesn't help.
If the second, it's great that some Christians can accept that, but it adds nothing new to our understanding of the formation of Earth.

How about Jehovah describe the creation of Earth unambiguously so as to leave no room for various interpretations like there are today? That would be far better evidence for a god than some some flowery poetics that are so vague they really don't say much of anything.

How about God, being eternal and omni-present, does a non-zero amount of stuff in the 2000 years after he maybe did those things you're talking about?  How about he stops babies from getting zika and having shitty lives as mentally retarded people?  How about he doesn't send people whose IQs are much lower than mine to tell me the "Truth" on Saturday morning, despite their having read way less of the Bible, way less often, than I have?

How about any of those?

You're forgetting the mysterious ways, free wills, and constant stream of miracles (like appearing on toast, finding wallets and keys, or filling the coffers of churches -just- when the pastors were almost ready to declare bankruptcy).
