By anonymity in this context, EP and others mean what you said in your first sentence. It would just come up "Anonymous" but moderators would still be able to see the account name or the IP.
And, I apologize for not being clear on what I meant. The sub-form user names would not appear as "anonymous" to the mods & admins, but would have the user's regular name, just as they always do. Only "us" would see "anonymous"; the mods would not need to do anything special at all.

Yep, I know what you meant.
My idea is a little different than what EP said (or implied) in his/her OP, in that he/she suggested (or implied) that the mods/admins would need to activate an on/off switch whenever they wanted to view someone's anonymous post(s).
Hair-splitting, of course, and it's up to the Admin/operator of the board to decide and/or implement.

Sorry don't know if any other admins have commented as of yet but I'm going to go out on a limb and say I doubt we will be implementing this anytime soon.

They could if they so wish, but the idea of anonymous posting isn't that great. I mean, you may log in and put yourself on anonymous, but as far as admins are concerned, they will know who posted simply through IP addresses of said poster.
