I Want to Major in Biology

Sure, we all know a bio major who drives a beer truck or something, but you can always fall back on the pharmacy thing. Seems there ought to be a way to combine the two (biology and pharmacy) to get into lab work.

Sometimes we forget that when highly educated people make a decision to do something like drive a truck....it's a highly educated decision.
 I made a fucking killing driving semis for a few years...as soon as gas went up and freight went down - I peaced out. Plus, I'd started a family, and youi kind of need to be there for that.. so, meh....back to the factory I went for less - but still generous, pay. I don't have a degree ( I;m perpetually a few credit hours away - giant procrastinator), but the simple act of seeking one left me "fallback" options that doevtailed with..even if they weren't in perfect accordance with..my deeply vested personal interests...the shit no one would -have- to pay me to do. Now I dig holes in the ground, lol. Long story short...it's totally worth, bio is hot and getting hotter, and I wouldn't worry about it until you get there. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, leave college with as little debt as possible, and when you have that degree in hand..then...then...worry.

Field biology jobs usually don't pay very well, but they can be a sweet lifestyle. Someone has to catalogue trees and beetles or fish and plankton.

Which, honestly, is just something you'll have to do the math on. How much of the proceeds from your "other job" would you be willing to pay for a lifestyle? If you can answer that with a number, you can just plug that into the difference in pay between job x and "omfg I'd do this for free".

I imagine you want to get a solid studying routine and good studying methods. Check out on the internet some ways of studying and check which one fits you good. Everyone is different and work differently however there are some things that apply to everyone or the vast majority of people e.g if you're planning to study for 5 hours before an exam, instead of studying 5 hours in two days before the exam it's better to devide it and study e.g 50 minutes each day for six days before the exam. Also, micropauses have shown to help, personally it helps me a lot to ask myself questions regarding what I'm studying and also making mental images when studying helps a lot too. But you might and probably are different.
